UNH possesses research strengths in blue economy, biosciences, sustainability, aerospace/defense, advanced manufacturing, coastal and ocean mapping. UNH has a globally recognized marine enterprise with leading facilities to support blue economy including an instrumentation center, advanced manufacturing center marine pools, a pier complex with boats and ships, a wave pool, a wind tunnel, a coastal estuary center, and an underwater technology park. UNH is well-integrated into the New Hampshire innovation community with a number of entrepreneurship support services available to support teams post-I-Corps, including co-working spaces, fellowships, incubator, and extensive network of mentors. 

UNH has experience as an I-Corps Site from 2016-2022 with 220+ participants from 80+ teams over 15 cohorts. In addition to working with UMaine and NU to recruit from the NSF Engine Forestry project, UNH is deeply involved with the EDA’s BioFabrication Cluster in Manchester, NH as well as the EDA Tech Hub for regenerative innovation and will serve as the Partner lead to broaden their participation in I-Corps.

  • Hub Spark Online. Attend our free regional I-Corps short courses developed specifically for STEM researchers. Whether you are just curious about entrepreneurship or certain you want to create a startup, our programs provide engineers and scientists with the ideal entry point to explore the potential value of their research or innovation.
